When we use estimates vs. verified data

RVSpot distinguishes clearly between verified figures (provided by the park or operator) and estimated figures (calculated from typical industry ranges).

• Verified data — Sourced from park operators who have claimed their listing and provided rate details, or from direct data collection. These figures are displayed without an asterisk.
• Estimated data — When a specific surcharge amount is unknown, we use the midpoint of typical industry ranges (e.g., $100/month for electricity at metered sites). These are marked with an asterisk (*) in the True Monthly Cost block.
• Nightly-only estimate — If a park has published only a nightly rate, we show a rough "nightly × 30" calculation as a starting point, clearly labeled as an estimate. Monthly rates are typically 30–50% lower than this calculation — contact the park directly for long-stay pricing.
